Lessons

There should seriously be lessons for wakeboarding.  Other than this...

Matt got a wakeboard the other day and just knew that he'd be able to get up on the first try.  Haha...right

Originally I was only going to know how to drive the boat for emergency purposes.  I guess Matt wanting to learn how to wakeboard has become an emergency.  In all seriousness though, I'm glad that we've been able to go out on the boat, just me and him and I've been able to practice driving while he's practiced wakeboarding (as in trying to get up).

It looks nearly impossible...then just when I look over my shoulder and see that Matt is almost up, I can feel him let go of the rope.  We need someone with experience (that has done more than watch youtube videos) to help us out with this one!  We look like fools out there on the water, and I'm sure everyone that rides by (seriously I've seen like 5 year olds waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, etc.) gets a good kick out of two adults (ew, did I just really call us adults?) out in the middle of the water not knowing the first thing about what they are doing!

  2. Guess we'll have to hire you both to come out for a weekend and teach him! Also, thanks for commenting...at least I know one other person reads this (the first one being Sarah Dunn because she has made it quite clear that she reads my blog frequently) haha

  3. Not a good idea to do this with only the driver in the boat, I know you can feel when Matt lets go, but nobody can watch and drive at the same time. I guess I need to visit again.
