Blog Funk

This past week, every time I sit down to blog, I realize I really have nothing exciting/interesting/new to post about.  You can only post...

Today we woke up, Matt went to work then I went to work then Matt got home then I got home then we ate dinner and watched our nightly TV show (maybe went to the gym) and were asleep by 10pm...

so often before it's terribly boring for people to read.

What I have noticed recently is how lucky we are and I see this in our everyday life.

What couple do you know that is in the real world (out of school) and able to work their schedules around each other?  Since Matt gets to decide where to go/what to do each day then he's able to see the days that I have to leave early (subbing I'm out the door by 7am) and what days are a little later (working at DB I don't usually have to leave until 10am).  It's so nice to be able to have breakfast together most mornings and enjoy quality time in the evenings.

I was talking to a good friend the other day about how bad Matt and I want to be back in Richmond.
(Not necessarily because it's Richmond, but more because that is where our family and closest friends are)

We started to talk about what our life would look like at home and I realized how many directions we'll be pulled in...Matt will undoubtibly get involved in a basketball league here, a softball league there and many other things in between.  Maybe I'll want to start a book club, or have weekly dinner dates with sisters or girlfriends.  Regardless, we'll have a lot more on our plates than we do now.

With the eagerness to get home weighing heavily on our hearts, I'm trying to find comfort in the here and now of our everyday lives.

I've come to the conclusion that 5-10 years down the road when life has us going every which way, I'll be able to look back on our first year of marriage and how simple our lives were and think about just how lucky we were to have this time in WV.

That being said, one of my favorite bloggers posted yesterday on Instagram about the March photo of the day challenge and I've decided that for the month of March, these photos are going to be in my blog posts!
(FIND IT HERE and start at the top tab for new readers, if you haven't read her story)

March 1st (Yesterday) the topic was "Up"

*As I laid in my bed last night (not able to fall asleep, like most nights) I took a quick shot of my "up"

March 2nd (Today) is "fruit" and although it isn't actually fruit...this stuff makes fruit 100X better!
Seriously, if you haven't tried dipping fruit in this delicious chocolate, you should!
(and I have a lot of it for a party coming up, not because I'm crazy and try to make everything as unhealthy as possible)
